CH Dance’s Terms and Conditions aim to present a fair sustainable structure to all.
We are committed to the safety of all persons who attend our lessons and to deliver the highest standard of service.
FEES & REGISTRATION

A registration form must be completed for all students upon joining CH Dance - see form at the bottom of this page.

Fees are payable half termly and are due in full on the first day of each half term to reserve your place in the class

If fees are not paid on time, a text reminder will be sent
-
Fees are based on how many weeks in each half term.
-
CHDance will send out text reminders within the last two weeks of the previous half term for the upcoming term.
-
Unfortunately, no refunds will be given if your child misses a class.

Should any pupil wish to leave the school, refunds for any unused classes will not be given.

A new student may take a trial class for a one-off payment. Should the student then decide to join the class, they must pay the remaining balance for the half term.
CANCELLATION OF CLASSES

Occasionally, it is necessary to temporarily change the venue of a class. Where this occurs CH Dance will notify parents by text.

If the regular teacher is unable to teach a class we will do our best to provide a substitute teacher. If it is not possible to find a substitute, the class will have to be cancelled and you will be informed by text. In this case fees will be subtracted from the forthcoming half term fees.
HOLIDAYS AND SICKNESS

Regrettably we cannot offer discounts or refunds to cover your booked holidays due to the need to ensure continuity of service.
UNIFORM
-
Please wear comfortable clothing and trainers. No jeans, flip flops etc. You can order CHDance wear on request but this is not compulsory to attend any of the classes.
BEHAVIOUR POLICY

CH Dance is a professional dance school and welcomes all abilities, believing in learning dance just for fun and also challenging those pupils who wish to excel to a high standard by learning correct technique in a fun yet disciplined dance environment.

Enjoyment is our main priority.

We have an anti-bullying policy, if bullying is taking place and is not rectified, students will be asked to leave the school.
-
No Chewing Gum is allowed.
-
No Smoking of anyone on the premises or in front of the premises at any time.
ATTENDANCE
-
Attendance at class is important - all dancers should attend all of their lessons to acquire knowledge of steps & technique and to develop as a dancer. Poor attendance and continued lateness will not be accepted.

Pupils are expected to arrive on time.
-
Children should be ready to start class when entering the dance space.
-
All rehearsals/extra lessons for performances must be attended in order to participate in a performance. These may be charged at an extra cost.
EXAMS
-
CH Dance work towards UKA exams. Pupils will only be entered when they have reached the required standard decided by the teacher.

Fees for exams must be returned by the deadline on the form.
-
Examinations must be paid within 14 days of the exam date. CH Dance have to pay entry fees to the examining board 14 days before the exam takes place.
BAD WEATHER
-
In the event of bad weather, the School will do everything possible to ensure that classes are not disrupted. However, if classes do have to be cancelled, fees will roll over to the next half term.
GENERAL AND SAFETY
-
Please ensure that your child goes to the toilet before class and brings a bottle of water to the class.

We ask you to bring and collect your child promptly and let us know any changes in drop off/pick up arrangements or if you wish you child to leave unsupervised.

If a parent is not there on time, the pupil must return to the studio - All pupils must be aware of this.
DATA PROTECTION- GDPR

Pupils details will be kept in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Please ensure that CHDance receives any changes to pupil’s contact details.
WATCHING CLASSES
-
Classes are not to be watched by parents/guardians or at the discretion of the teacher. Students tend to get distracted when knowing the parents/guardians are watching.
At some of the venues there is space to wait in the reception area.
PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
-
When you filled out the registration form, you were asked to actively consent to your child being photographed or video recorded. If consent was given, CHDance has permission to use photographs and video recordings from time to time for advertising and promotion. This includes CHDance website and all social media.

Photographs and videos of students may be taken and used for promotion and on social media by CH Dance. If you do not give permission for your child's photo to be taken, please email or text Carrie to make her aware of this.
MEDICAL ISSUES & ALLERGIES
-
The parent or guardian is responsible for the regular updating of any medical change the teacher needs to be aware of.
-
Please inform the teacher of any injuries before class.
-
During party classes sweets and chocolate are given out to the students, please inform Carrie of any allergies.
-
It is the Parent’s/Guardian’s responsibility to inform Carrie of any changes regarding the students emergency contact details.
